Gunther Tiersch

Gunther Tiersch ( born April 30, 1954 in Ratzeburg ) is a German meteorologist and one of the youngest German gold medal winner at the Olympic Games ( Rowing ). A wide audience, he is known as a meteorologist on duty the weather forecast following the TV newscasts today and heute-journal.

Tiersch won in 1968 at the age of 14 years at the helm of the " Ratzeburg rowing eight " at the German Championships and won at the Olympic Summer Games 1968 in Mexico City with the Germany eighth, ahead of Australia and the Soviet Union the gold medal.
