Gurs

Gur [ pronunciation: gyʁs ] is a commune with 413 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Atlantiques in the region of Aquitaine. It belongs to the canton of Navarrenx and the Local Government Association Navarrenx.

Geography

Gur is situated between Pau and Bayonne, 16 kilometers northwest of Oloron -Sainte -Marie about 75 kilometers from the Spanish border. The river Gave flows between Gurs, and Dognen.

History
