Gustav Albrecht, 5th Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg

Gustav Albrecht Prinz zu Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg, full name Gustav Albrecht Alfred Franz Friedrich Otto Emil Ernst Prinz zu Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg ( born February 28, 1907 in Berleburg, † 1944 in Russia, officially declared dead November 29, 1969 ) was after the private house rules family head of the former princely House of Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg.

Life and Family

Gustav Albrecht zu Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg was born as Prince of Sayn -Wittgenstein- Berleburg. He was in the German Wehrmacht last captain of the reserve and Ic- staff officer of the 23rd Panzer Division. He is missed in Orsha in Russia since 24 June 1944. On 18 August 1944, he was posthumously awarded the German Cross in Silver. In 1969, he was officially declared dead.

Gustav Albrecht married on 26 January 1934, the Swedish countess Margareta Fouché d' Otrante. His marriage to Margaret following children were born:
