Gustav Gugitz

Gustav Gugitz ( born May 10, 1836 in Klagenfurt, † July 17, 1882 in Vienna) was an Austrian architect.

Life

Gustav Gugitz occupied by an apprenticeship as an architect to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In addition, he trained in the studio of van der Nülls and Sicardsburg. Gugitz worked mainly in the site office of the Vienna Opera, and completed after the death of two architects in 1869 to build. From 1875 to 1882 Gugitz acted as professor and director of the Vienna State Trade School.

His honorary devoted grave is on Grinzing Cemetery (Group MA, number 20) in Vienna.
