Guy Béart, originally: Guy Béhar (* July 16, 1930 in Cairo ) is a French engineer, composer, composer and actor of Lebanese descent.

Life

Guy Béart is the son of an accountant and business consultant. He spent his childhood in France, Greece, Mexico and Egypt. At the age of 10 and 17 years his family kept up in Lebanon. There also awakened his interest in music. In 1947 he enrolled at the " Ecole Nationale de Musique " in Paris to learn violin and mandolin. At the same time he also studied engineering science at the Paris elite university École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. As bearts father died in 1952, he wanted to support his mother and sister and worked in an engineering office and on construction sites. Among other things, he directed the construction of a bridge near Nancy.

During his spare time, he wrote songs and performed in 1954 in the Parisian cabarets on the Rive Gauche. He started in " Colombe ", later in the " Théâtre du Vieux- Colombier " to sing. His songs are self-willed, sensitive and tactful. Béart was discovered by the famous music producer Jacques Canetti. With the support of his fellow musician Boris Vian he could publish an album, in 1958 the prestigious " Grand Prix de l' Académie du Disque français » won. Among his best known works include the songs " Bal chez Temporel ", " Il n'y a plus d'après ", " Poste restante ", " Laura ", " L' Agent double", " L' Eau Vive ", "L ' Espérance Folle "," Le Chapeau "," Les Couleurs du Temps " and " À Amsterdam ".

The reclusive Béart suffered in his stage performances from stage fright and moved to television in 1963 as a presenter for the music program, " Bienvenue ", appeared in the singers and musicians of many genres, including Duke Ellington and Yves Montand. Béart was thus present in the public and, after cessation of its broadcasting activities in 1970 to work again as a singer and perform. Despite their occupation in Paris, he decided to live with his family on the land and lived in a farmhouse in Provence in Gassin, Var. He wanted to shield his children from the distractions of city life and also from the television.

After a long illness, which did not allow him to act, he enlisted in 1985 with the song " Demain ever recommence " back again, a title full of hope and joy.

1994 was awarded to the French chanson Guy Béart for his life's work of the Académie française with the large medal ( médaille de vermeil ).

Of his five children with his wife Geneviève Galéa, a former model and actress, film and theater actress Emmanuelle Béart was best known.
