H. C. Recktenwald Prize in Economics
The Horst- Recktenwald Prize, actually Horst Claus Recktenwald Prize for Economics, is a prize for outstanding achievements in the field of economics. It is endowed with 25,000 €.
It is awarded every two years by the Faculty of the Friedrich- Alexander -University Erlangen -Nuremberg, Economic and Social Sciences.
The award was founded in 1993 by Hertha Recktenwald in memory of Horst Claus Recktenwald, a professor of economics with a focus on finance in Nuremberg. This was in her husband's emphatic concern.
