Habitual aspect

Habitual (also: habitualis, In habitat, Habituativ ) refers to a type of action or an aspect of the verb that describes a habitual action. Habitual can be brought to the various types of expression, for example by an auxiliary verb or a special:

  • German: he used to go
  • English: he used to go " he went usually / normally "
  • Latin: fact -it -are " usually do, operate commercial scale"
  • Hausa: Yakan Tafi " he goes / went usually "

The Habitual can be understood as a subcategory of the durative action type or the imperfective ( unfinished ) aspect.

In medical terminology is habitual for " recurring " or " habitually ".
