Design and tracks
The station has six tracks, which are used by three island platforms from. The tracks 5 and 6 are built as a railway terminus; there is the terminus of the Yokohama Line.
History
The train station is available here since 1889. Yokohama line in 1908 started operations here. The Hachikō Line was opened in 1931. 1937, the station was moved in the course of the track extension of the Chuo line to the current location.
