Hackett is a British clothing company based in London, which was founded in 1979 by the British fashion designer Jeremy Hackett. The collections of the style is influenced by the classic British menswear.

History

The idea of ​​establishing an apparel brand came Jeremy Hackett in 1979, after he met with Ashley Lloyd - Jennings on the famous flea market in Portobello Road in London. In the same year they started with the sale of goods in that market.

In 1983 they opened their first sales shop on the New Kings Road in Chelsea, London. Until then, they sold exclusively second-hand clothing. Only gradually became larger the company and a collection were designed and sold. The first store outside of England was opened in Madrid in 1989. In 1992, Alfred Dunhill bought into the company so that the opening of the first flagship store on Sloane Street was financed in London. Modern History

In June 2005, the company was sold by the Switzerland-based investment group Richemont to the Spanish company Torreal. Since then, the international expansion strategy has been continued so that Hackett is now represented by 77 stores in sixteen countries around the world.

Hackett is sponsoring sporting events, organizations and businesses worldwide.
