Hacılar

Hacılar is a district in the province of Kayseri in central Anatolia. Hacılar is located about ten kilometers south of Kayseri, between the mountain and the city of Kayseri Erciyes at an altitude of about 1350 m. The district has 12,723 inhabitants (2008 ).

As the oldest settlement area is considered according to oral tradition, the site Dörtkuyular ( four wells). Even when the Ottomans documented, Hacılar 1931 community and has been September 9, 1991 the district. Hacılar is famous for its fertile gardens. Previously, the inhabitants lived mainly from agriculture, carpet weaving, animal husbandry and handicrafts.
