Hacride

Hacride is a French Progressive Death Metal band from Poitiers, which was founded in 2001. The band's name is a variant of the English word acrid ( German: , corrosive ',' biting '). The added characters H and e remain at the beginning or end of the word, as usual in French, dumb. Despite the French pronunciation, the word has no meaning in that language.

History

The band was formed in 2001 by bassist Benoist Danne Ville, guitarist Adrien Grousset, singer and drummer Samuel Bourreau Olivier Laffond. In 2003 they released their first promo CD called Cyanide Echoes, which was produced by Matthieu Metzger.

In 2005, the band appeared on the compilation Revolution Calling by Listenable Records with the song "The Daily Round". In the same year they also recorded their debut album called Deviant Current Signal and published it via Listenable Records. To promote the album, the Deviant Tours I & II followed by France and Switzerland. She also participated in the festival VS II in Paris on 28 May 2006.

2007, the second album was recorded Amoeba. It was produced by Frank Hueso, and co-produced by the band members.

Hacride released the third album Lazarus on April 20, 2009.

Style

The band is compared with other bands like Meshuggah, Textures and Strapping Young Lad. Characteristic of the works of the band are the complex playing style as well as the change between different passages that differ greatly in melody, tempo and dynamics.
