Hadseløya

Hadseløya is an island of Vesterålen in the Norwegian municipality in Hadsel Fylke Nordland. It is with their location in Hadselfjorden the link to the south extending Lofoten and Vesterålen lying to the north.

General

On the east side of the island, the E10, which connects the two main towns in the north and Stokmarknes Melbu in the south runs. A branch line runs west to the island, so that the remaining places are connected. Both together have a length of exactly 42 km, the reason for the nationally known Hadsel Marathon.

The interior of Hadseløya consists of an up to 656 m high mountain range, which provides an easy-to erwandernden fantastic panoramic view of the two island groups.

In Stokmarknes is also located in Norway 's largest regional airport with over 100,000 passengers a year.
