Hagensche Wiek

The Hagensche Wiek is a bay in the east of Bodden rügischen that deep into the peninsula Moenchgut, the south-eastern tip of Rügen, cuts.

It is approximately five kilometers long, 2.5 kilometers wide and opens in the direction of southwest to rügischen Bodden, the northern part of the Bay of Greifswald. To the north is the Hagensche Wiek by the long, narrow peninsula Reddevitzer Hoeft, bounded on the south by the " actual" Moenchgut with up to 66 m high Zickerschen mountains. In the east, the Wiek approaches close to the Middelburg Hagen hamlet Lobbe up to 1000 meters of the open Baltic Sea.

At the Hagen 's Wiek communities Gager and Middelhagen lie with the hamlets of Old Reddevitz and Marie village. In Gager is the only protected by a pier and harbor of the bay, which is used by fishing and pleasure boats.

The bay is part of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.
