Háifoss

The waterfall Háifoss located near the Hekla in Iceland. The Fossá í Þjórsárdal, a tributary of the Þjórsá crashes here on a steep level of 122 m in depth. It is after Morsárfoss and Glymur to the third-highest waterfall of Iceland.

You can drive from the historic courtyard Stöng through the valley of Fossá in five or six hours ( round trip ) hike to the waterfall. The road is only partly visible, partly you have to go in the river bed below.

Above the waterfall there is also a parking lot, so you can make the trip in the opposite direction.
