Hailey Duke

Hailey Duke ( born September 17, 1985 in Sun Valley, Idaho) is an American alpine skier. She specializes in the slalom and giant slalom.

Biography

Duke learned to ski in the winter sports resort of Sun Valley, where her parents worked as a ski instructor. Although they regularly took part in children's race, but their interest was initially mainly the martial art Taekwondo. 13 times in a row they won the Junior Championships of the State of Idaho. After they had reached in 2001 with the U.S. Team Trials in third place, they definitely turned to the ski racing. Duke operates Taekwondo continues as compensation and was awarded the 2004 4th Dan.

In December 2000, Duke first participated in FIS races, from November 2002 then served in the Nor- Am Cup. 2006/ 07 they finished second in the slalom standings of the Nor -Am Cup fourth and in the following season, the second final ranking (behind the Canadian Anna Goodman).
