Hala - ' l Badr or Hala - ' l Badr (Arabic حلا البدر ) is a 1570 meters high volcano in the province of Medina, in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The cinder cone rises about 300 meters above the surrounding area and is part of the extensive volcanic field Harrat ' Uwayrid. Several eruptions are historical evidence to the Middle Ages.

Mount Sinai

A number of authors, including Charles Beke, Sigmund Freud and Immanuel Velikovsky, declared that the Biblical description of Israelite slaves hike to a mountain, from which a " consuming fire " went out (2 Mos 24.17 EU), describe a volcanic eruption. That excludes all the mountains of the Sinai Peninsula and Mount Seir. This left three volcanoes in the Biblical Midian, in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, of which Hala - ' l Badr is the most famous.

In Hala - ' l Badr various authors saw the biblical Sinai, in particular
