The Halbendorfer Lake, Upper Sorbian Brězowski JĘZOR, is a two- kilometer long and 500 meters wide lake near White Water in Upper Lusatia ( East Saxons ). It is located on the territory of the municipalities United Duben, loop and Trebendorf. The name derives from the United Duebener district Halbendorf, on whose banks side since 1982, a recreational area was created.

The lake is marketed nationwide. Besides beaches, there are close to the beach textile and naturist campsites and boat rentals. The annual highlight of the season is the Neptune Festival in July, in which the stylized sea god Neptune comes from the lake to baptize some people.

The result is the Halbendorfer lake from a residual hole of the pit Trebendorfer fields, was promoted from the to 1969 lignite. For this former mining include other lakes that are connected partly channels with the Halbendorfer lake. The road between Trebendorf and Halbendorf that runs between the two largest lakes, is bagged in the seventies partially. Only after compaction measures by the LMBV towards the end of the nineties could be built on the embankment of a new road. This is affected by the seeumführenden bike path.

The lake is fed by a tributary of the Struga, in which it can be drained again. To protect the beaches from erosion, the water level is lowered by about 10 cm in the fall.
