Haldane (lunar crater)

Haldane is an impact crater on the eastern limb of the Moon front page, in the plane of Mare Smythii. Haldane is a very flat, almost sunken crater with double border, east of Gilbert and north of Kästner.

The crater was officially named in 1973 by the IAU by the British-Indian geneticist JBS Haldane.
