Halifax City Hall

The Town Hall Halifax is the seat of the municipal and regional government of Halifax (Halifax Regional Municipality ). Since the merger on April 1, 1996, Dartmouth, Bedford and Halifax the county (County of Halifax ) is next to the city of Halifax County. The Town Hall building is located in downtown Halifax located on the Grand Parade, a place which was formerly used for military parades. The building was built in 1887-1890 and designed by Edward Elliot. It is among the oldest and largest civic center of Nova Scotia. The existing red sandstone town hall has a seven -story clock tower in the middle. The clock located on the north side permanently displays the time 9:04 clock and reminds us of the time of the Halifax Explosion on December 6, 1917.
