Halk Bankası

The Halkbank (Turkish: Halk Bankası, German: Volksbank ) is a Turkish state-owned bank.

The bank was founded in 1933 and was made in 1938 its business on. It is headquartered in Ankara. Today it is the seventh largest bank in Turkey. It sponsors the sports club Halkbank Ankara, which was founded in 1983 as a company sports club of the bank. During the corruption scandal in Turkey in 2013, the bank manager was arrested and indicted on charges of corruption.
