Halk TV

Halk TV ( German TV about people ) is a Turkish nationwide television channel, which was founded in 2005. He is regarded as a related party of the Republican People's Party ( CHP ), although the relationships were terminated on 18 February 2011 under the new Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu CHP.

During the protests around the Gezi Park Halk TV was one of the few Turkish TV channels, the live coverage of the events. Because of the regulatory RTÜK imposed a fine against Halk TV because of the " damage to the physical, moral and mental development of children and adolescents".

History

Halk TV was founded on 10 January 2005 by former CHP leader Mahmut Yıldız book and received financial support from the CHP. As Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in 2010 took over the leadership of the CHP, they stopped the grants, which led to financial difficulties at Halk TV. Kılıçdaroğlu asked the CHP deputies and members also be absent as guests of the station. The former mayor of Esenyurt Gürbüz Çapan, since February 3, 2011 is considered as a support of Halk TV.

In May 2013 was reprimanded Halk TV from RTÜK due to the broadcast of a "most watched " videos in YouTube. As a basic insult the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been specified.
