Halle Janemar

Harald " hall " Janemar ( born May 4, 1920 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish former racing cyclist and speed skater.

From 1938 to 1946 Janemar Hall was one of the best cyclists of Sweden. Five times he was Swedish champion in the time trial and the team time trial. Twice he was also Scandinavian champion in the team time trial. 1942 and 1946 he won the Östgötaloppet and 1945 the Skandisloppet, which are among the oldest bicycle race in Sweden. In the UCI Track World Championships 1946 in Zurich, he was third in the individual pursuit on the track of the amateurs.

In the following years, Janemar focused on speed skating. He launched over 500 meters at the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz, finishing in eleventh place.

After the end of his athletic career Janemar opened a shop in Uppsala.
