Hallen, Sweden

Halls is a town in the municipality of Åre in the Swedish province of Jämtland County. Overall, living in an area of 46 hectares 203 inhabitants (2010). Halls located on the western shore of the large lake, the fifth largest lake in Sweden, about 70 kilometers south-east of Åre and 65 kilometers west of Östersund. West of halls is the Bydalsfjällen.

Attractions

Close to Halls has the river Damman, this is one of the most important breeding areas for the trout (Salmo trutta ) of the large lake. The tributaries of the Damman come from Anaris and Oviksfjäll. In the Damman also beavers (Castor fiber). Halls has a church dating from 1776. Nearby, Trappnäs was in the Stone Age, one of the largest residential areas in the vicinity of the large lake. In the large lake to the legend live according to the Storsjöodjuret.
