Halsbach (river)

Mouth of the neck Bach

The neck is a creek about ten kilometers long river in Altötting in Bavaria. It flows into the castle churches in the Alz.

The source area is located on 464 meters in the municipality Kirchweidach. The creek usually runs in a northeasterly direction, just two kilometers from the mouth it turns to the north.

The Halsbach arises as Wiesbach, is fed by several small springs and flows to 500 meters in the municipality Halsbach.

As the first significant tributary flows into the mosses Schmid Hamersbach in the neck creek that flows past it in the places Itsching and Halsbach. Below the village Halsbach opens at 3 km from the south of the valley Leitenbach.
