Haludaria is a South Asian genus of the carp family (Cyprinidae ). All species of the genus are endemic only in South India or Sri Lanka. To the genus, which was only in summer 2012 placed (as Dravidia ), include four types have previously been placed in the genus Puntius collection. The original genus name was derived from the Dravidian peoples, the inhabitants of southern India. Features
