Haluzice (Zlín District)

Haluzice ( German Halusitz, formerly Hallusitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Slavičín and belongs to Okres Zlín.

Geography

Haluzice located in the highlands Haluzická ( Halusitzer Bergland ) in the north of the White Carpathians in the area of the nature reserve PLA White Carpathians. The village lies on a saddle on Haluzický Kopec. Southeast springs the brook Václavský creek, to the northeast lies the valley of the Sviborka. To the north rises the Bukovina (482 m), to the east the Kučovanice (502 m) and the Hrbov (441 m ) southeast of the Hradisko ( 474 m), in the south of Nový háj (472 m ) southwest of the Nad Loštím ( 469 m) and the Uhliska ( 529 m) and in the west of the Haluzický kopec (518 m). South of the village is a military area.

History

The town originated as a settlement clearing in the woods at the transition between the White Carpathians and the Vizovice Bergland at a Crossroads. The first written mention of Halosicz took place in a dated 1261 on possession of the monastery Smilheim directory, which has proven to be a forgery dating from the 14th century. The residents of Halosicz won by clearing land, which allowed for agricultural management and provided wood for the needs of the monastery. After his demise Halosicz belonged to the secular rule Vizovice. The village became extinct at the transition from the 15th to the 16th century. 1574 acquired Zdeněk Kavka Říčany the former to the monastery district Záhoří associated southern parts of the rule Vizovice and beat them to his rule Brumov. In 1578 Haluzycze was last called desolate. Zdeněk Kavka was to create a stately courtyard at the end of the 16th century at the Crossroads and repopulate the adjoining corridors. After the abolition of patrimonial Halusice / Hallusitz formed a parish in the district team Uherský Brod and the jurisdiction Valašské Klobouky. As of 1868, the village belonged to the reconstructed District Commission Uherský Brod and two years later also to the local judicial district. Since 1872, the present-day city name Haluzice is used. The first village school was built in 1881 as Expositur school in Vlachovice. In 1905 Haluzice was assigned to the judicial district Bojkovice. 1949 both the Okres Uherský Brod and the district court Bojkovice was repealed and assigned the community the Okres Valašské Klobouky. This lasted until the end of 1960, then became part of the Haluzice Okres Gottwaldov which reflects the name " okres Zlín " leads since 1990.
