Hammarlund

Hammarlund Manufacturing was a U.S. company for the production of radio-electronic devices.

The company was founded in 1910 by immigrants from Sweden Oscar Hammarlund in New York City and later had its headquarters in Mars Hill, North Carolina. It turned her radio receiver, in 1931, also the first commercially manufactured superheterodyne receiver for shortwave, as well as transmitter for radio amateurs.

Hammarlund was disbanded in the 1970s.
