Hammer-on

Hammer -on or Hammering (German premium bond ) indicates a widespread technique for guitarists, rarely, strings or ukulele. Here, the tone by rapid and vigorous placing a finger of the gripping hand, is generated on the string, so the string is struck on the frets and starts to vibrate. Most strikes the right (or left-handed musicians playing at the left ) hand to the previous tone. The Hammering -on is a decoration technology, just like the Pulling -off (discount bond), the bending, the glissando (sliding ) or the vibrato. In the literature the Hammering is usually referred to with the English name hammer-on.

A modified form of the Tapping, in which the sound is produced in the same way, but through the use of batting.
