Hammerdal

Hammerdal is a locality ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Jämtland County, the historical province Jämtland in the community Strömsund.

The place was until 1974 a central place own community, the church dates from 1782. Through Hammerdal leads the European Route 45 Previously there was a rail connection to the Inland Railway.

Swedish emigrants from Hammerdal regarded as the founder of the city Hammond (Louisiana ).
