Hamweddel

Hamweddel is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Hamweddel is located about 17 km south of Rendsburg in Akrug Nature Park. The community is located between the North Sea-Baltic Canal and the main road 77 from Rendsburg to Itzehoe.

School buses to Jevenstedt to primary and secondary school " school at the Jevenau " and the Elementary and junior high school in Todenbüttel.

History

The village was founded around 1500. The name means "forest ford ".

Policy

Since the local elections of 2013, the voters Community KWG has all nine seats in the municipal council.
