Hangman (game)

Hangman, hangman, gallows tree, or Hangman, hanging man, male or just hanging gallows (even hangman English) is a simple word game.

History

Tony Augarde, author of the work The Oxford Guide to Word Games ( Oxford University Press) says in the chapter about this game: " The origins of Hangman are obscure, but it seems to have originated in Victorian times." 1894, is in Alice Bertha Gommes book Traditional Games under the name of birds, animals and fish (English: birds, Beasts and Fishes ) mentioned. The rules were similar to today's versions.

Game History

This will require paper and pen. The number of players is variable, but often there are only two. The Beginner now considering a longer word, which he, however, merely writing down the first letter. All other letters of the word devised are marked by dashes. The rate player now calls sequentially in any order individual letters of the alphabet. The opponent must now announce each, how often and at what point of the Answer to the letter occurs. This results in little by that word. Variants

The game is very common especially for educators who work in the school.
