Hanina ben Pappa

R. Hanina ben Pappai ( as in the Babylonian Talmud, Aramaisierung of Pappus; . Palestinian Talmud in most Chinena, in the Midrashim usually Hanina b Pappa called ) was an amora of the third generation in Palestine.

He was a student of Samuel b. Nachman, often embroiled in debates with Simon ben Pazzi, starred with Abbahu in Caesarea, but mainly in Babylonia.
