Hanno (crater)

Hanno is an impact crater in the southern part of the Moon front, southwest of Mare Australe and the crater Lyot, northeast of Pontécoulant. The rim is heavily eroded, rutted the interior of smaller strikes.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Carthaginian explorer Hanno the Navigator.
