Hans-Jörg Bliesener

Hans -Jörg Bliesener ( born April 5, 1966 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a former German canoeist who won a bronze medal for the German Democratic Republic at the Olympic Summer Games 1988.

Life

The European Junior Champion in 1983 in the One - kayak launched for the forward ASK Potsdam. In competitions of friendship he won the 1984 four-man kayak, in the double kayak he reached with Jens Fiedler third place. In the Canoe World Championships 1985 in Mechelen, he took along with Guido Behling over 500 meters in second place behind the New Zealanders Ian Ferguson and Paul MacDonald. The following year, Bliesener won at the World Championships in Montreal again Silver: In four kayak was in the target only the Hungarian boat in front of Guido Behling, Hans -Jörg Bliesener, Jens Fiedler and Thomas Vaske. At the Olympic canoeing competitions in Seoul in 1988 Bliesener fought along with Kay Bluhm, André Wohllebe and Andreas steels the bronze medal behind the boats from Hungary and the Soviet Union.

After completing his studies in Economics Bliesener began at the department store group Karstadt, where he managed several branches, so in Gutersloh, Dresden, Bochum. In addition Bliesener is active at senior level as a canoeist.
