Hans Lang (Austrian composer)

Hans Lang ( born July 5, 1908 in Vienna, † January 28, 1992 ) was an Austrian composer of light music and Viennese songs.

Life

Hans Lang attended the Commercial Academy in Vienna and studied music with Professor Carl Lafite at the New Vienna Conservatory. Was long Supervisory Board of Austro - Mechana and vice president of the cooperative dramatic authors and composers. At about 25 comedies as Councilor Geiger, Fiakermilli and the old sinner, he composed the incidental music.

He was known primarily for his pay soundtrack for many home movies of the 1950s as Lumpacivagabundus, The Councilor Geiger, The old sinner, Hello porter, waiter! and The Fiakermilli. In the duet with his partner Maria Andergast Hans Lang also sang some of his songs himself, he wrote the screenplay for the film Sharks of the post-war period (1925 ) and the operetta Lisa, behave yourself! (Premiered March 21, 1939 Vienna). In many respects he collaborated with lyricist Erich Meder. Many of their Viennese songs were very popular. Specifically for the show " car driver on the road ," he wrote, "We are comrades Road " (vocals: The Metros ).

He is buried in an honorary grave dedicated to the Neustift cemetery. In 1996 ( 22nd District ), the Hans- long - way named after him in Vienna Danube city.
