Hans Müller (director)

Hans Müller ( born April 19, 1909 in Lüdenscheid, † February 17, 1977 ) was a German film director.

Life

Already as a student, Müller became interested in the then relatively new medium of film. He often visited the cinema and was interested in the possibility for the screening room. Later he attended in Berlin the Lette -Haus with its training centers for optical film and photographic technology.

Following a documentary about his hometown Lüdenscheid and recordings for the newsreel was released in 1944 his first film selbstinszenierter riot of hearts with Lotte Koch, Rudolf Prack and OE Hasse in the lead roles. After the end of World War II, when the Berlin studios were largely destroyed, he turned with Käthe Haack, Paul Dahlke and Lutz Moik among other things, Burg Altena the film and we see each other again some day.

Once in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, the movie studios were rebuilt, followed by, among others, 1,2,3 Corona ( 1948) Ingeborg Scholz, Hafenmelodie (1949 ) with Kirsten Heiberg, The Girl from the South Seas (1950 ) with Hardy Krüger and Ingeborg Hauff, Poison at the Zoo (1951 ) with Carl Raddatz and Ernst Schröder, Alluring stars ( 1952) with Ilse Steppat, Rudolf Prack and Paul Dahlke, Carola Lamberti - One of the Circus ( 1954) with a comeback of Henny Porten. His greatest success was its own estimation, the film version of the opera Zar und Zimmermann (1956 ), where another operetta film, Mazurka of Love ( 1957) followed. With his last movie triplets on board with Heinz Erhardt Muller once again celebrated a great success with the public.

Starting in 1960, Müller turned to the television. He filmed with Hans -Joachim Kulenkampff Munchausen's adventures and resulted in the series forwarding Marcus and Barbara Kramer with Rütting same direction, as in the detective series Butler Parker with Dirk Dautzenberg. 1972/73 Müller filmed in Italy, the eighth book of madrigals by Claudio Monteverdi under the baton of Nikolaus Harnoncourt.

Loriot, an intern at the Hans Müller in the studio, it was suggested by his name and birthplace to his comic character " Mr. Müller- Lüdenscheid ".
