Hans-Otto Schumacher

Hans -Otto Schumacher ( born February 17, 1950 in Grevenbroich ) is a former German canoeist, who took the canoe slalom for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Schumacher started for the KC Grevenbroich. He was six times German youth champion, twice in the one - Canadians. In the adult area, he and Wilhelm construction in 1970, 1972 and 1974 German champion in the two - Canadians.

At the 1972 Olympic Games Olympic competitions were held in the canoe slalom for the first time. On the Augsburg Eiskanal won Rolf -Dieter Amend and Walter Hofmann from the GDR ahead of Schumacher and construction and the French brothers Olry.
