Hans-Peter Martin's List

The list of Dr. Martin - For Democracy, control, justice ( list shortcuts Matin, MARTIN or HPM ) is an Austrian party. For the first time the former Mirror journalist and MEP Hans -Peter Martin joined the European elections in 2004 with its " list Dr. Hans -Peter Martin - For real control in Brussels" ( MARTIN ) on. The party won 13.98 % of the valid votes, and thus two of the 18 Austrian seats in the European Parliament. Also in the 2006 national elections, Martin appeared with the list of Dr. Martin. Program

In the first place in the program list Dr. Martin is full transparency. The party considers comprehensive openness of information on state activities as indispensable for a functioning democratic state in the 21st century. Furthermore, the list of mandatory referendums and direct democracy begins. Thus the party wants a mandatory referendum on a legislative decision, if this demand 500,000 citizens. Exceptions to this are issues (eg, reintroduction of the death penalty or euthanasia ) contradict the fundamental human rights. Other program areas include anti-corruption, fuel-efficient economies, lowering the tax burden, the prevention of the EU accession of Turkey, neutrality, environment, health and human rights.

2006 national elections

On July 29, 2006 Hans -Peter Martin officially announced for the National Assembly elections on 1 October 2006 with its list Dr. Martin - for democracy, control, want to run justice.
