Work

The central approach of his work is the examination of the various phenomena of duality and interaction.

In his photographic work Thull dualities generated by solving objects or situations of everyday life from their originality and places them in a different context by unusual cropping and camera techniques to camera shake and pivoting movements. Through these interactions traditional viewing habits are broken, the contents get a new identity and dualities are visible. So " are for the viewer offers and options included, to wake by his own reflection and action, imagination and enable creative impulses. " Therefore His image series can be assigned to the Experimental Photography, and some of the Subjective Photography. Thull works primarily in color, both analog medium format as well as digitally in small picture format.

The duality media consumer is at the center of his collages. Through various cutting, tearing and gluing techniques and conflicting assignments in rows, accumulation and reduction, primarily with print media, it generates sense irritation - oktroyierte perceptual processes are questioned: "The signs of everyday life in a sense a realism to have conquered. "

Its mostly walk- tubes and sheet steel sculptures address the dualities eyepoint perception and surface area; they generate interactions of form, material, light, viewer and environment. "Through exchange of viewpoints or perspectives is visually cross-border created a communicating variable entirety. " The basis of his works form planar geometric steel sheets, which it collects through cuts, bevels, compressions and mappings of the plane into space, or steel tubes, which he puts together in serial or geometric systems.
