Hans Vosseler

Hans -Günther Vosseler ( born February 5, 1949 in Paderborn ) is a German former swimmer who won a silver medal at the Olympic Games.

Vosseler launched for the first Paderborn swimming club of 1911. During the European Swimming Championship 1970, he joined in on the flow side of the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay, the final won Werner lamp, Olaf von Schilling, Folkert Meeuw and Hans Fassnacht the gold medal. However, in the 1970s was not yet the rule that an inserted in the flow athletes also receive a medal.

At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 Vosseler swam in advance with the 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay, but had to watch the final. Three days later, he qualified with the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay for the final. There Klaus Steinbach, Werner lamp, Hans -Günther Vosseler and Hans Fassnacht won the silver medal with six seconds behind the world record relay from the United States.
