Hansjörg Kunze
Hansjörg Kunze ( born December 28, 1959 in Rostock ) is a German track and field athlete and Olympic medalist, who was successful for the GDR in long-distance running.
His biggest success was the bronze medal in the 5000 -meter run at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, for which he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze. He started for the SC Empor Rostock.
A spectacular victory came on September 9, 1981 in Rieti ( Italy ) when he min a European record in the 5000 -meter run scored with 13:10,40 and in this competition the dominant this season Kenyans Henry Rono suggested.
His longtime rival sports in the GDR was Werner Hauer sign in Halle ( Saale).

In 2004 he was on the Olympic bid of the Hanseatic city of Rostock ( for the sailing competitions with the main venue for Leipzig) involved.
Hansjörg Kunze has been married since 1981 and has two children.
