Hansjörg Schmidt

Hansjörg Schmidt ( born October 29, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( SPD). He is a 2011 member of the Hamburg Parliament since March.

Professional and private life

After graduation and a degree in computer science Schmidt founded in 2001 with four fellow students, the software company WICE GmbH, whose marketing and sales manager he is.

Political career

Since 1997, Schmidt has been a member of the SPD in the District Assembly in the district of Hamburg-Mitte. From 2001 to 2008 he was Deputy Chairman, since 2008 he is group chairman and spokesman of the SPD in the city planning committee. In the state election in Hamburg in 2008, he took up for the SPD in the constituency of Hamburg-Mitte. With 8.0 percent of the votes, but he failed to reach the citizenry.

In the state election in Hamburg in 2011, he joined again in the constituency 1. This time he succeeded with 10.2 percent of the votes of direct entry into parliament. He is a member of the Hamburg Parliament 2011 March 7.
