Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi

The Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (Chinese汉语 水平 考试/汉语 水平 考试, examination of the Chinese- levels ', HSK ) is a central, standardized test of Chinese as a foreign language, the measures of language performance. It is conducted in the People's Republic of China and the world at licensed test centers. The HSK is suitable for those who want to purchase a qualified certificate and for students who need to prove sufficient language skills to be admitted to a course of study in China.

Certificate levels

The HSK Center of Language and Culture University in Beijing announced the development of a new revised exam format is known, which comes into force in 2010. The new format emphasizes " understandable language and communication skills ." Above all spoken and written segments are added in all levels (not just in high school ), the evaluation system reformed, and used new question structures.

Background

The Hanyu Shuiping kaoshi was developed in 1990 in Beijing with government support of experts on " Chinese as a foreign language". In 1994, the expansion to Europe, to Germany in 1995.

The HSK certificate itself does not expire valid (eg as proof of language skills with an employer or a university outside of China ). The attached test result report, however, is only two years from the date of the test and certificate for access to a Chinese university valid.

The HSK equivalent to the German TestDaf and the English TOEFL. Objective of the test is the language qualification for students and professionals. The test is intended for non-native students and young professionals. The evaluation of the examination is carried out centrally in China.

Organizations

The HSK is from the Chinese Ministry of Education and the State HSK Commission, the Hanban (中国 国家 对外 汉语 教学 领导 小组 办公室(short:国家汉办) National Chinese Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language) and reviewed by numerous test sites in China and in other countries - including Germany, Switzerland and Austria - offered.
