Happi

A Happi (法 被jap or半 被) is a traditional Japanese jacket that is usually made of indigo or brown cotton, and is traditionally printed with a mon. This tradition stems from the fact that Happi were formerly worn by valets. Today, it is also common to map the badge of businesses and organizations on a Happi. Happi are now also available in a variety of colors and patterns.

From the Edo period, she also wore firefighters, where the symbol on the back of the group to which they belonged indicated.

A variation of Happi is the Hanten (Japanese半天). The Hanten is quilted and was worn in the winter in the houses, as they were poorly insulated.
