Happy End (band)

Happy End (はっぴいえんど) is a Japanese folk rock band that was active from 1970 to 1973.

Albums by Happy End connect western folk music and Japanese melodies, the singer Haruomi Hosono and Takashi Matsumoto sing Japanese and not English. For their album 'Happy End' (1973 ) the group Lowell George committed (of Little Feat ) and Van Dyke Parks to listen to the song Sayonara America, Sayonara Nippon. After his time with happy ending Haruomi Hosono founded the Yellow Magic Orchestra. On the soundtrack to the movie Lost in Translation (2003) the song Kaze Wo Atsumete from her second studio album Kazemachi novel to hear. This album is the first place on Rolling Stone Japan 's " 100 Greatest Japanese rock Album of All Time ".

After his time with happy ending Haruomi Hosono founded the Yellow Magic Orchestra. Eiichi Ohtaki ( born July 28, 1948) died on December 30, 2013, he choked while eating an apple.
