Harald G. Petersson

Harald G. Petersson, Harald Giertz Petersson - or Harald Giertz Petersson -, ( born October 16, 1904 in Weimar, † July 8, 1977 in Berlin) was a German - Swedish screenwriter.

Life

The son of a Swede and a German began his career as a writer and was in the thirties, press chief of the production company Tobis. When his novella Heart trump was filmed in 1934, he began to lay on writing screenplays, first in collaboration with other authors. Soon proved his extraordinary flair for creating tension. He was a specialist in dramatic stories of espionage and military markets.

In 1940 he married his second wife, the actress Sybille Schmitz, who was a famous Ufa star at that time. The marriage was divorced in 1945.
