Harold Kitson

Harold Austin "Harry" Kitson ( born June 17, 1874 in Richmond, † November 30, 1951 in Umkomaas ) was a South African tennis player.

Kitson took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London in part, in which he could but not achieve any success in both the singles and the doubles. Four years later he joined in Stockholm again and won at the age of 37 years in the individual competition the silver medal. Together with Charles Winslow, he was also able to double to win the gold medal yet. In the singles final, he lost against his doubles partner.

Kitson was the winner of the South championship in tennis in the years 1905, 1908, 1911 and 1913 and was in the years 1909 and 1910 in the final, where he lost once each against Reginald Doherty and Anthony Wilding.
