Harper's Bazaar

Harper 's Bazaar is an internationally appearing fashion magazine from the U.S., which is currently represented in 29 countries with independent expenditures. Every month, prominent photographers, artists, designers and writers invited to describe their view of the world of fashion, beauty and pop culture. The magazine is part of the Hearst Corporation, and is already since the end of the 19th century as hottest competitor for Vogue.

History

The first edition of the then Harper's Bazaar mentioned magazine was published in 1867 and introduced the first magazine of its kind dar. It was founded by the publishers Harper & Brothers (later Harper Collins) which issued also Harper 's Magazine. Since then, the journal has developed into a stronghold for exceptional talent. Among other things, worked fashion editors like Carmel Snow, Alexei Brodowitsch, Diana Vreeland, Anna Wintour, Carrie Donovan, Millicent Fenwick or Liz Tilberis and renowned photographers such as Man Ray, Nickolas Muray, Louise Dahl - Wolfe, Richard Avedon, Inez van Lamsweerde, Diane Arbus and Patrick Demarchelier for the magazine.

Dissemination

Harper 's Bazaar appears, except in the United States in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, in Hong Kong, an English-language version is distributed and a uniform output routed for all of Latin America in Spanish.

The fashion magazine acquired in July 2006, a new level of awareness after Britney Spears pregnant posed nude with black hair and in the sixth month on the cover of the U.S. edition.

A German edition of Harper 's Bazaar existed from 1985 to 1999. Since 2013, the magazine appears again in the Burda publishing.
