Harry Bradshaw (football manager)

Harry Bradshaw (* 1854 in Burnley, England; † September 1924 in Wandsworth, London ) was an English football coach and functionary.

Although Bradshaw himself had never played professional football, he took over the job of Managing Director in 1891 at Burnley, before he was President of the Association two years later. In 1896 he became coach of the team, but increased in his first season as head as Table from the First Division from after you could not convince in the relegation matches (Test matches ). Already in the following season managed to rise again, and then the third place in the first division.

1899 Bradshaw moved to Woolwich Arsenal, as was the Arsenal said. With the second division he reached first though front seats, but the rise was not until 1904. However, he left the same year the club to join Fulham FC.

Bradshaw became the first full-time coach in the history of FC Fulham. He led the club in 1907 from the Southern League to the Football League Second Division. There one was in the first season and 14 reached the semifinals in the FA Cup. As ascent favorite in the following season started, they finished in 10th place at the end and the expiring contract Bradshaw was not renewed.

Bradshaw then moved to the Southern League as managing director. A post he filled out until 1921, when he retired.

Bradshaw's son Joe played under his father at Arsenal and was himself later coach of FC Fulham.
