Harry Gregson-Williams
Harry Gregson- Williams ( born December 13, 1961 in England ) is a British film composer, record producer and conductor.
Life
After musical training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London Gregson -Williams gave needy children in Cairo and Alexandria music lessons. Gregson -Williams then moved to London where he met Stanley Myers. With him he took part as a conductor and arranger for a few movies. With his brother Rupert, Hans Zimmer, who also learned his craft at Myers, and numerous other composers, he worked in the music wrought Remote Control Productions (formerly Media Ventures ). Meanwhile, he has his own business and is a regular composer for directors such as Tony Scott, Joel Schumacher and Andrew Adamson.
Work
His great film scores include movies such as Antz, Chicken Run, Shrek - The daring hero (along with John Powell); Shrek 2 - The daring hero returns, Spy Game - The Final Countdown, Kingdom of Heaven, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. For the latter, Gregson -Williams was nominated in 2005 for a Golden Globe Award, but could not prevail.
He also composed a large part of the music for the two PlayStation 2 games Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 together with the composer Stephen Barton Harry Gregson -Williams worked on the soundtrack for the first-person shooter Call of Duty 4 In addition, he has worked with the Japanese Nobuko Toda the soundtrack for the PlayStation 3 game Metal Gear Solid 4 composed.
